About Me:
Growing up in the small town of Sparta, NJ, the arts were always a big part of my life. I studied Karate at a young age and ever since starting the saxophone in 4th grade, I knew I wanted to teach music for a career. Heavily involved in everything music at our high school, I was honored to receive the John Phillips Sousa award.
I went on to achieve a Bachelors in Music Education from West Chester University, PA. Through the West Chester University Wind Ensemble, I had the opportunity to perform in various venues throughout China, the CBDNA Convention in Arizona, and the PMEA Virtual Convention this past April. I was both a member and leader in the West Chester University Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, touring Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Atlantic City. The band was recently recognized on a national level and was awarded the prestigious Sudler Trophy.
Last year I taught Marching Band at Neshaminy High School and student taught at the Penn-Delco District's elementary schools. I became the President of the WCU Judo Club and was awarded the rank of Green Belt. I hope to keep training this year and earn a Brown Belt. Over the summer, I was fortunate enough to continue my training in Isshinryu Karate, and earned the rank of 4th Degree Blackbelt "Yon-Dan".
This year I hope to continue the legacy of Mr. Salerni and be an advocate for the arts at Providence Creek Academy!
"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything" - Plato
